10 Field Squadron Royal Engineers
By Michael R. Lavery
This is a series of photos taken in Aden between 1965 and 1967.
10 Field Squadron (Airfields) RE spent a full two-year tour in Aden and served in many locations in the region. Our main task was to build airfields up country but were heavily involved in all sorts of engineering and construction duties. We also actively participated in internal security duties alongside all the infantry battalions which served during our tour: the KOYLI, Royal Anglians, SCLI and Argyl and Sutherland Highlanders.
10 Field Squadron (Airfields) RE is not represented and I hope that my modest collection of photos will encourage other ex 10 Squadron members to contribute. Michael R. Lavery
