Nagasaki Griffiths
We had two soldiers called Griffiths in our company in Hong Kong. As we were a Welsh battalion (SWB) this didn't matter much because we used the last two numbers usually for our 'same name soldiers' There was one problem they were both Griffiths 69, a rare happening of same name and last two numbers; not a problem said the CSM the short one is ugly we'll call him 'Nagasaki Griffiths' The name stuck for all of his service.
