This article is from Soldier magazine dated March 20th 1960 reporting on the Floatation Exercise carried out by a 6 man team from Headquarters 17th Gurkha Division LAD REME based at Rasah Camp in Seremban. As you will read in the report the demonstration was carried out in front of High ranking Officers from Headquarters FARELF Landforces.

I think I have all the names but one. from left to right L/cpl "Mac" Mcdade L/cpl Mick Covington L/cpl Alan Ashurst Cfn "Yorkie" Link Cfn "Taffy" Pugh and "Scouse" You never know one of them may see the article and remember the names. t Included amongst the High Ranking FARELF Officers were Directer of REME Brig.D.V.Henchley and Brigadier Training GHQ FARELF Brig.A.T.J. Bell. The demonstration took place in a Tidal Inlet at Tanjong Kling some 15 miles from Singapore City Centre.
