The following personnel are eligible to apply for the Canal Zone Medal and/or clasp, the award of which was announced by the Government on 11th June 2003.

1. Members of the Armed Forces based in the Suez Canal Zone.

2. Accompanying civilians who wore the appropriate uniform of their organisation.

3. Commonwealth and Colonial forces, subject to approval by their government.

4. Foreign nationals enlisted with any of the above categories.

Veterans are invited to apply in writing to the medal office giving their service particulars, i.e. Full Name, Service Number, Rank, Regiment, (Corps or Unit,)
Date of Birth, Date of Enlistment, Date of Discharge.

Next of Kin of veterans who have died are also invited to apply, but it will be necessary to supply documentation supporting that fact.
