A series of postcards originally published by "Photo Edition Peucel" were reprinted for SFOR (the NATO Peace Stabilisation Force) showing in graphic detail the destruction unleashed upon the city of Sarajavo during the conflict. 


War damaged buildings in the Eastern area of Sarajevo.


 


  This postcard shows a view of the National Library built in front of the Miljacka River. It was constructed during the Austrian-Hungarian Empire.


  A backstreet in the east of the capital.


  The "Dobrinja" residential suburb close to the airport.
 


  Above and below: southern suburbs close to Ilidza.
