HQ SFOR was located within the camp at Ilidza, replacing the earlier main HQ of ARRC / IFOR. Ilidza is on the outskirts of Sarajevo, eastern Bosnia.
These two postcards show general views of the "Ilidza" base on the outskirts
of Sarajevo.
The "Force Protection" board orders:
Veh Movement: No "lone drivers" - must have additional crew, and at least
one weapon must be carried in the vehicle.
Dress Code: Full combats, PLCE and helmet - Body armour available.
This postcard shows a series of views of the "Butmir" base, also on the
outskirts of Sarajevo.
