Was in U.S.Navy stationed in Nicosia, Cyprus 1957-1958.  Here are a couple of pix of money in use at the time.  We were paid by check from London, England and then we had to go to Barclay's Bank and cash U.S. $ check into Cypriot Pounds-schillings. We also played RAF basketball team in spring of 1958.  Enjoyed getting to know some of the English people there.
