The Union Jack Club, Singapore which was opposite the famous Raffles Hotel. Rates in case you can't read them: Bedrooms 4 shillings a night. b & b 5 shillings a night. overflow dormitories 2/6 per night with b & b 3/6 meal value 1/6. Hot bath 6d!

I served in the R.A.M.C in the 16 Field Ambulance attached to the Suffolks and West Kents, later I was sent on detachment to Bentong attached to 1st Battalian Kings African Rifles.
