S.S. Captain Hobson Contributed By
The S.S. Captain Hobson which transported me and countless others back to UK in May 1956. The boat was very slow and the trip from Singapore to Liverpool took 6 weeks. There were 900 troops on this trip and 3 women (nurses) Thank goodness the beer never ran out. |
