British India Steam Navigation Co. 'DILWARA' which took me to Singapore via Gibralta, Cyprus, Aden, and Colombo.  The
journey took 30 wonderful days of which I still have fond memories - A few hours ashore at each port, bum boats, beer, sing songs, deck hockey, and shooting competions at balloons thrown off the stern of the ship.

The 'Dilwara' was built in 1936 and saw service as a troopship in WWII, Palastine, the Korean War, Suez and the Malayan Emergency.  Her trooping days ended in 1960, when she was sold to the China Navigation Company and renamed 'Kuala Lumpur'
