MV Georgic

I travelled on it on New Years Day 1947.  I left the 5th Battalion of the Royal West Kent Regiment where I was in Gibraltar and joined the 1st Battalion in the  Suez Canal Zone. I can still remember that the messing was very good. Another ship I rember is the Dunnottar Castle.  I rember that one very well as we slept in hamocks.  Not very comfortable. I sailed from Portsmouth to Gibraltar on  her in October 1946.
