FIRILLAS, Mikis Kyriacou Escaped from Kyrenia/Girne castle 23 September 1955. He surrendered to Cpl Moyse and Sgt Dash of Suffolks on Good Friday 1957 during Operation Bullfinch in the Troodos Mountains.

FRANTZESKOU, Artemos. (In charge of the Athienou operations, Frantzeskou blew himself up while trying to make gunpowder. He was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital, but was dead on arrival. At the hospital, a Greek Cypriot nurse told an Irish doctor: 'It is very sad, you see, he was not used to making bombs. It is very sad for this to happen, making your first bomb.' Frantzeskou's successor died the same way - 12 days later on 12.08.56.)
