YAKOUMIS, Andreas. (Born Ay Dhometios Nicosia in 1940, he was a full-time student and part-time EOKA hit-and-run gang member in Nicosia. He was captured and interned.)
YIANGOU, Andreas. Code-name: Diagoras. (From the start, he was GRIVAS's most entrusted messenger, even travelling in and out of Cyprus for Greece. Yiangou was used by the Colonel to verify the expenses of the organization's members, especially those of the suppliers of weapons and munitions. Unless receipts for every expenditure were produced and cross-checked against purchases to prove their accuracy, no one was paid.)

* YIANGOU, Nicolaos (Born Pano Zodhia in 1934, he was a farmer. Arrested for being a hit and run gang member in Morphou/Guzelyurt, he is alleged to have died from being tortured between 5 and 9.10.58 by the security forces.)
YIALLOUROS, Petros (He was a Cypriot member of ANE, EOKA's youth movement. Born in Rizokarpaso on 29 August 1938, he attended the Ammochostos Greek High School of where, he became responsible for organizing his fellow students and distributing anti-British propaganda leaflets. Among his many EOKA duties was to transport weapons and messages between gangs. He joined the ranks of dead terrorist 'heroes' when he led a student riot on 07.02.56 and British troops were forced to break it up after they were stoned. According to legend, his last words were: 'Long live Enosis!'

YIANNI, Ioannis, Stylianou (Born 1929 in Trikomo/Iskele, he was builder who became an Eoka saboteur. He was killed 24.10.58)
YIANNNAKOU, Sotiris. Code-name: Danglis. (Born 1932 in Bellapais/Beylerbeyi. He survived the 55-59 conflict. He came out of hiding and appeared on 15.03.59 in the Nicosia home of Gabriel GAVRIELIDES, where GRIVAS was hosting a reception for his Eoka gang leaders.)
