This is a thoroughly good read in particular if you are an ex-serviceman. There is no "Trumpet blowing" just an honest account of the life of a great General. Also worth reading is "Storm Command", Sir Peters account of the Gulf War. Read side by side with Gen Schwarzkopfs "It doesn't take a Hero" gives a very "side by side" view of events in the Gulf.
